Choosing Priorities

How are your high school kids doing? If they’re like most, they are dealing with some pretty intense demands of finding time to be with friends, but not together. Finding time to study online materials for tests that cost a bunch of money, and trying to what they can in the miss-matched distance learning world. It’s no wonder they are stressed out.

There students that need to put their mental health needs first. Families that struggle to find a balance between going to therapy and trying to get all their class demands met. It doesn’t seem like there is a right answer because there is only so many hours in a day (and we wish for more, too!).

Golden Coast Academy realizes that commitment to improving oneself, especially when working with specialists. We know that there shouldn’t have to be a split in priorities. We’re here to help create the space you need for your family’s journey!

Elective Credit

We’re proud to enroll students in our self development elective class. It can be going to a yoga class, meditating, or seeing an outside professional for guidance. Add up your hours for high school elective credit. That’s right! You can work on improving and have it count towards your graduation work!

Put First Things First

There are somethings that we are powerless over like bell schedules. When you are in control of the learning schedule, all the sudden waking up out of a dead sleep just to be downstairs in the dark doesn’t mean as much as it did before. Create a tension free schedule based upon your family’s rhythms.

Need to schedule a special’s appointment? Its no hassle with Golden Coast Academy. There’s no more attendance office, no tardy pass. No more trying to rotate the schedule to avoid the therapy appointment during the same period every week. Mental well being can come first!

Academic Flexibility

We know that some students are not able to complete the pacing demands, or even the academic demands, of a traditional class load. Golden Coast Academy is able to support you in developing accommodations and supports to make things simpler for learning to happen. Fewer problems? Sure! Dictating to avoid spelling mistakes? Of course!

We’re also able to offer the wide range of class types for our high school students- not everyone needs the demanding CP or AP classes. We will be happy to find the right fit for every student, especially with our Essential classes.

Please feel free to reach out to us for a consultation to see how we can be part of your family’s educational journey. We know everyone has a story, and we’re here to help!
